How to use it
- Timer: enter hours, minutes and seconds or tap a preset, then Start. You'll hear three beeps when it hits zero (and feel a vibration on phones that support it).
- Stopwatch: Start, tap Lap for splits, Stop and Resume to keep going.
- Full screen: shows only the clock, large enough to read across a room.
Why it stays accurate
Instead of subtracting one second per tick, the timer remembers a deadline (or, for the stopwatch, a start time) and computes the difference from the current clock on every redraw. A single alarm is scheduled for the deadline, which browsers fire on time even for background tabs. The remaining time also appears in the tab title so you can glance at it from another tab.
Examples
HIIT workout
Set 0:45 for work, start, then 0:15 for rest. Repeat eight rounds. Full-screen mode makes it readable from the floor.
Timed essay practice
Tap the 60-minute preset to rehearse exam conditions. Keep the tab in the background while you write — the beep will tell you when time's up.
Track lap splits
Run with the stopwatch and tap Lap at every mile marker to see each split and your total time.
Limitations
- Closing or reloading the page clears the timer and laps.
- For critical alarms, use your phone's built-in alarm as well. Locked screens and battery savers can delay browser audio.
